Backyard Gardening Kids w/ the Louisa Master Gardeners – 7/5/2025 – 81 Louisa Avenue, Mineral, VA (Mineral Farmer’s Marketing) – Join the Louisa Extension Master Gardeners for Backyard Gardening Kids at the Mineral Farmer’s Market! This fun, hands-on educational event invites children to explore the wonders of gardening by creating their very own chia or grass head plants to take home and watch grow. It’s a perfect way to spark curiosity about plants and inspire young green thumbs. Fall Continuing Education Event: Optimizing Your Vegetable Growing – This event is advanced training for EMGs to provide optimum help to the public. Speakers: Leonard Githinji Ph.D VSU; Second speaker TBD. Location VSU Wilder Bldg. 1 Hayden Dr. Field Trip: Randalf Farm to demonstrate and practice drip and other irrigation techniques.
