Prince William County Announces “Gardening Basics” Webinar Series

  • Beat the winter blues, join Virginia Cooperative Extension and Master Gardeners for the Gardening Basics Series via Zoom. All classes are 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Every month we’ll have a new topic. Our first session is Jan 21 on Starting Plants Indoors/Winter Seed Sowing (click here to register).

DIY Hydroponics Class – Thurs. Nov. 6, 2025, 9am-4pm. Healthy Harvest Fresh aquaponics facility, Warsaw, Va. Register by November 1st

  • Taught by Indoor Ag Specialist Josh Dusci from Virginia State University. Class will be held Thurs. Nov. 6, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Healthy Harvest Fresh aquaponics facility in Warsaw, Va. and features a lecture, hands-on construction of a make and take working hydroponics system, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Healthy Harvest Fresh aquaponics facility. Lunch and snacks are provided for this day-long class. Seeds, plants, and startup supplies included.

  • EMGs Not Getting Emails?
    • Due to some issues with email providers in the past, some of your volunteers may complain that they don’t get Better Impact (BI) emails. If they’ve checked their spam folders and don’t see emails sent through BI, they might be on BI’s “Email Deny List”. This happens because the user’s email address has marked too many BI-sent emails as spam.
    • EMGs should contact their local coordinator for troubleshooting this.
